Hula Girls (M)
The future is bleak for the small coal-mining village of Joban, and the town elders have decided that their only solution is to capitalise on the Polynesian sensation and introduce a Hawaiian centre to the city. The villagers are horrified at the idea but a motley crew of naive but determined girls decide to risk their all to save the dying town. Against all odds, they learn hula dancing from a snobby Tokyo-based instructor, only to become heroes of the nation. Based on a true story, Hula Girls is a heart-warming tale of the underdog. An award-winning film by Sang-il Lee.

K-20 (M)
Shimako Sato's action-adventure K-20 is set in 1949 in the fictional Japanese capital of Teito, in an alternative Japan where World War II never happened. The system of ‘nobility' established in the Meiji Era (mid to late nineteenth century) continues today, creating an extreme divide between the upper and lower classes. Ninety percent of the country's wealth is controlled by the upper members of society. Teito has been gripped by the emergence of a phantom thief who steals priceless objects from the rich. He is known as "The Fiend With Twenty Faces" or simply "K-20".
